I picked the hotel because of a mention on their website of it being convenient if you were on a cruise. This turned out to be very important as we couldn't get a taxi there due to the Marathon in that area, and had to wheel our luggage to the hotel or wait 2 hours at the port for a taxi. We were able to get from the port to the hotel in about 15 easy minutes. Great location also to Las Ramblas and many fine restaurant within a 15-minute walk. The room was large and comfortable as was the bathroom. A safe in the closet for valuables. Since we arrived way before check-in we were able to store all of our luggage safely in a locked room. This was a fabulous asset. And we had a very late flight out of Barcelona the next day and they graciously let us store out luggage again so we could explore the city until we got back there at 3:30 when they called a taxi for us and within 10 minutes we were on our way to the airport. Fantastic service. I might mention that just a bit down Ample Street, from the hotel, is an art museum with a breathtaking exhibition of Marc Chagall's paintings and etchings and a stunning exhibition of the work of Matteo Pugliese. We spent three hours there. Such a wonderful thing; so close. One also has access, quickly, to the waterfront and behind the berthed boats is a large shopping center that is fun to check out. Lovely walk with lots to see and a pedestrian bridge that safely gets you over the harbor's busy frontage road.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Catalonia Port in Barcelona, and I wanted to express our sincere appreciation for the experience we had. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The staff at the reception was incredibly helpful, providing us with all the information we needed to make the most of our stay in Barcelona. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed, with all the amenities we could ask for. The modern design and cozy ambiance made it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the city. We were particularly impressed by the attention to detail and the cleanliness of the entire facility. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, within walking distance to many of Barcelona's top attractions and the beautiful port area. We enjoyed being able to explore the city easily and return to such a peaceful and quiet retreat. Breakfast was a delight, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to everyone's tastes. The quality of the food and the service provided by the restaurant staff were both top-notch. Overall, our stay at Catalonia Port exceeded our expectations in every way. We will definitely choose this hotel again for our next visit to Barcelona and will highly recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you to the entire team at Catalonia Port for making our stay so memorable!

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of March as a family—my wife, our 8-month-old baby, and I—and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is very cozy. The staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help with anything we needed. On the first day, we arrived at the hotel around 12:00 PM, and even though check-in officially starts at 3:00 PM, the receptionist made an effort to get us into our room earlier, which we really appreciated after 8 hours of travel door-to-door. We had booked a room facing the inner courtyard, and it was very quiet at night. Of course, there can sometimes be noise from neighboring rooms or doors closing loudly, but that’s not something the hotel can fully control. Overall, I was very satisfied with the level of quiet—it was especially important for us so our baby could sleep undisturbed. Breakfasts were great, with a nice selection of tasty food. High chairs for babies were also available in the buffet area, which was a big plus. The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s on a quiet, clean, and well-kept street just a short walk from the seafront. There’s also a grocery store right next door with a good selection—we often popped in to grab some water or other essentials. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others, especially families traveling with a baby.

The location was great, just a short drive from the cruise port and right in the heart of the Gothic district. It was just a 5 minute walk to La Rambla and waterfront. Restaurants and shops galore.Taxis were readily available in front of the Hotel or nearby. The front desk staff were very helpful and spoke well in English for us. They even assisted us in getting a Sim card for our cell phone. I read reviews about noise from the street but we had a balcony room facing the street and there was just a bit of city noise at night for a short period but it was not bad. And, I am a light sleeper and it did not bother me. I would definitely recommend it for anyone coming off a cruise or wanting to be in the heart of the Gothic district and waterfront areas. There was even a grocery store next door to the Hotel which was convenient.

Overall, the hotel is excellent. I liked the interior. The staff is friendly. The location is generally wonderful. In a quiet place, but at the same time everything is close by, both the center and the embankment. There are many cafes, restaurants, grocery stores nearby. The only thing is that the wooden walls in the room and the closet were covered in palm prints (like after renovation). And on the second day they did not leave us water. When we asked at the reception, they said that water was a compliment only on the first day, but they gave us water. And the next day they put water in the room.
